Welcome to the home of the Hillsborough FIRST™ LEGO® League (FLL) Robotics teams. The FLL was introduced into one of the Hillsborough schools during the Fall of 2006. Two rookie teams were established and entered into the world of nanotechnology . With the 2007 season, a second set of rookie teams, Team 1928 - Mindstorm Troopers and Team 1929 - Mechanical Monsters were eager to face their challenge - the energy crisis. They had their work cut out for them.
The teams worked hard and put in a tremendous amount of effort, creativity and enthusiam throughout the challenge season; thus, enabling both teams to compete in the local Hillsborough FLL tournament! This was a great accomplishment!!
The teams learned to design and program a robot, handle the unexpected, empathy and the meaning of Gracious Professionalism.
Congratulations Team 1928 - Mindstorm Troopers!!! on your FLL Teamwork Award win on November 17th, 2007. You started off with high hopes and a desire to function as a team. There were some bumps along the way in realizing this goal; however, perseverance, dedication and hard work helped you to become a team.
The excitement is not over yet!! Coming up next: NJ FLL State Tournament.
The state competion is over. Although we did not win an award, we had a great experience and met many great teams!!
Among those teams was this years Champion winner, the Landroids!! This team clearly displayed gracious professionalism when they offered us both parts and assistance to rebuild our misplaced tree containers. We were thrilled with their win and wish them all the best in Atlanta.
